FRENCH OLD SCHOOL SKATE JAM July 10-11th 2010, La ROCHE-sur-YON skatepark

Here we go again for the 5th time in a row !
If any of you dirty old men across Europe feel like skating a 70’s park with your French counterparts, you’re all welcome. Halpipe, pool and a big reservoir, it’s all there, just like the old English parks. Doesn’t matter how you skate as long as you’re over 30 and into it for the right reasons.
We’re kicking off at around 2 PM on Saturday with the banked slalom in the reservoir. Fastest time wins some crap from our generous donators, and the slow ones get what they deserve just for showing up. The rest of the week-end is filled with BBB (Beer/Bowlriding/Barbecue) in traditional style.
Skateboarding is punk.

3) Hotels etc : there are some cheap ones, like Formule 1,camping sites here and there and a couple more expensive ones. It’s a nice little town, so take the opportunity to visit.

4) Tips: Wheels in the 58-65 mm range are recommended, it’s old concrete. And this park takes no prisoners, so bring the pads. Soft wheels and longboards are welcome too !
